Photo Friday—Florence Wetherbee

Florence Augusta Stanley Wetherbee.

Florence was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, the daughter of English immigrants who had only arrived three or four years earlier to Albany, New York.

When she was six, her family removed to Battle Lake, Minnesota. She married Homer Wetherbee in 1899, and they then lived south of Fairmount, North Dakota, where they resided until his death. She then moved into Fairmount where she resided until her death. [2]

She taught school in the Fairmount area for a time. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Women’s Society of Christian Service, Order of the Eastern Star, and for many years a member of the Rebekah Lodge. [2]


Florence Augusta Stanley (1868-1957) is 2nd great-grandmother of MKS in the Wetherbee branch.
